On Wednesday the whole school had our learning celebration "Our Place". In Pikopiko we drew landscapes and wrote about our favourite place! Our wall has photos about the "Dash, Flash & Splash" triathlon!
We looked at all the amazing work in the other teams rooms. We enjoyed a free sausage and loved doing Jump Jam outside!
We enjoyed painting autumn pictures on Thursday!

Week 10
On Tuesday the Pikopiko children had fun at the Year 1-4 Triathlon. It was called Dash, Flash & Splash! We were all very tired by 3 o'clock!
The Preschool visited us on Wednesday and we all made kites! The librarians came to present a show in the hall. We loved hearing them read us stories. We joined in with acting and dressing up!
We had a great time at Aromaunga. Mike took us into the glass houses and the cool stores. At the end of our visit we all got a rose!

Week 9
A super-short week this week - only 3 days. The Pikopiko children have been exploring "Our Place". We have been for two big walks around the community this week. We walked down Bridle Path Road and spotted the farm, the Rifle Club. On Station Road we saw the Art Shop. We spotted the community notice board and saw the boxes of free food for people in our community.
On Thursday we discovered the Birdsey Reserve. We played hide and seek and rolled down the hill. Across the road, we saw the cricket club, the Bowling Club and the Tennis Club. We had fun exploring the Domain!

Week 8
This week we have been doing lots of Easter activities. We have learnt to print letter "e" correctly, we have made Easter Cards and eggs that open with a split pin! We made Easter baskets and Easter bunny snuck in and put some eggs in them for us! HAVE A HAPPY EASTER!
On Thursday morning, we walked to the Heathcote Valley Community Garden, as part of our topic "Our Place"! You are welcome to visit there any time, and help yourself to some of the fruit and vegetables!

At Discovery, we enjoyed playing with the Beebots. They are little robotic toys that move in different directions depending on what you program them to do!
