Week 6 Term 4

Wow! What a week we have had.

Welcome to Dylan who started school this week!

We have been busy practising for our Run, Jump, Throw event this week. Unfortunately the event had to be postponed until next Tuesday due to the rain.
Run, Jump, Throw will now be on on Tuesday 22nd November from 9am - 12.30pm. Children need to wear their house colours.

On Wednesday it was Red Nose day. The children enjoyed dressing in red and buying red slap bands, bracelets and noses to raise money for cure kids.

Also on Wednesday we had a 'Gruffalo' day. We watched the Gruffalo movie and then made Gruffalo Hideaways out of shoe boxes. Come and have a look at our Hideaways - they are on the wall in Pikopiko.

Next Friday there will be a Disco for the Kowhai and Pikopiko children in the school hall from 2.20 - 3.00pm. It is a gold coin donation which will be raising funds for a school in Kaikoura. More details to come next week......

Week 5

On Tuesday, some of us made "pictures" with pieces of fruit, then enjoyed eating it.

We had a great time watching "The Gruffalo" at the Isaac Theatre Royal.  We loved playing at the Margaret Mahy playground afterwards!

Week 4 Term 4

On Monday we celebrated halloween with an amazing dress up day! We loved seeing all of the costumes.

On Tuesday Seth's Mum came to share about Seth's Dad's job working in the Chatham Islands. It was interesting to hear all about the amazing conservation work he is doing.

On Thursday we had the Science Alive Space Dome come to school. We learnt all about the sun, the moon, some planets and constellations.

On Friday we performed our 'Olden Day' poems in Assembly.
