Week 8 Term 4

On Monday, we planted our little gardens. We are enjoying watching our plants start to grow - Sam's has started to sprout already!!!

On Tuesday, we had the children who are starting in Pikopiko next year come and visit us.
We also wrote letters to Santa and posted them. We look forward to his reply!!

On Wednesday, we read the Maori legend - Rata and the Waka. Then we collaged our own waka - come and have a look at them on the wall in the Volcano.

On Thursday, we had the senior Enviro kids come and talk to us about the vision for our school grounds. We got to play lots of fun games. In the afternoon, we made advent bells with 24 loops. Each day before Christmas we can cut off a loop and see how many days until Christmas.

On Friday, we had a great discovery time - playing in a band, making with boxes, colouring with quiver and doing construction activities.

What another busy week.....only 2 more to go!

Week 7 Term 4

We had a great time at Run, Jump, Throw on Tuesday this week. It was a beautiful day and the children participated in all of the fun activities. Thank you to all the families and friends who came to watch us! A big highlight was the yummy ice block at the end!!! Just what we needed on such a hot day.

On Friday it was Disco Day! The children had a great time dancing and singing with all of their friends (and teachers too!). Thank you all for paying the donation -  all money raised will go to Hapuku School, near Kaikoura.

Next week we are starting swimming. Our swimming days are Monday, Thursday and Friday, with an optional lunchtime swim on Wednesday.
All children are expected to participate and need to bring their swimming togs, towel and goggles (optional) on those days. Please make sure that EVERYTHING is named - it's amazing how quickly un-named things can get lost!
