We really enjoyed catching up with you all at the goal setting interviews last week. We will be sending copies of your child's goals home in the next few weeks. Children who started school for the first time this year will set their goals later in the term.
This week we have kicked off our routines for the year -
We have started doing Maths Action Stations, reading and writing. Reading books will be sent home every night (Monday to Thursday). Please make sure that your child has their reading folder at school everyday.
We have also had lots of fun this week!
Our letter of the week was l. We tasted some lemons and wrote secret messages with lemon juice. Made lazy lions, lazy ducks and a lantern.
Next week it is t and we will be having a teddy bear day on Thursday - please bring your teddy to school.
On Thursday we played some games and learnt some new PE skills with Mr L. We look forward more PE lessons with Mr L.
In discovery this week we played with the playdough, made lots of things with the construction materials, played in the sand pit, did some junk modelling with boxes, did some drawing and made lady bird puppets.
Next week is our 'Meet the Teacher' afternoon at 3.15pm in Pikopiko. The coffee cart will be outside from 2.45pm. This meeting will be to discuss how collaborative teaching and learning will work this year in Pikopiko. We will also touch on a few housekeeping matters.
