Junior Arts Interchange
For most of this term Pikopiko and Kowhai have been doing an Arts Interchange every Wednesday afternoon. The children have participated in Dance with Mrs Amyes, Drama with Whaea Sarah, Gymnastics with Mrs Wilson and Music with Ms Lennon. There are two rotations every Wednesday so everyone got to have 4 lessons in each subject. It has been a lot of fun and a great chance to get to know the other teachers and some other spaces around the school! Unfortunately this was our last session today but we have learnt lots!

ReplyDeleteHi Pikopiko. I looked at your cool weaving you did on Monday for Matariki. I'd love to be there doing it with you. We are having a hangi tomorrow for Matariki. They are digging the hole today for our hangi. Do you know what a hangi is? Love Amalia (in Auckland)
ReplyDeleteHi Amalia! Great to hear from you. Peri explained to us that a hangi is when you cook food under the ground. She says you have to do the meat first because it takes a long time. Sounds yum! We hope your new school is going well :) From Pikopiko.
