The only time we do split is for library - our team is a little big to fit in all at once now! The Ocean and Volcano are going together first, then the Forest team follows. Here are the Forest reading nicely to each other while the others were in the library today:
Every second Friday we have a Junior Assembly which we do up in the hall - just like our big School Assemblies! It is lovely gathering together with Kowhai and celebrating our learning and singing together. Congratulations to the people that received certificates today :)
Discovery is always a lot of fun. Today Mrs Fowler had a great technology challenge going on inside where children had to build a cylinder that held exactly 20 cubes! Outside we had the HUGE parachute out which was lots of fun and had Ms Lennon and Mrs Wilson completely worn out!
Welcome back today too to Sian and Holly who have both returned from big trips! It was great hearing about your travels, we'll look forward to talking to you more (and seeing some great storywriting!) on Monday :)
We have had a great first week back and everyone in Pikopiko has worked so hard. Well done to you all, we will look forward to seeing you all back on Monday, then ready for our special trip to Ferrymead on Tuesday!
