More Amazing Art and Maori Language Week

Today we continued working on our awesome Tall Learner artwork. After having our photos taken last week we needed to turn these into silhouettes that will be on top of our Port Hill pictures. We transformed them by painting them completely black! We are so looking forward to putting it all together later in the week.

Today marked the start of Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori, or Māori Language Week. We are doing a few things around the school to celebrate. At lunch time everyone was very busy searching the school grounds for some taniwha! Most people found 6 hiding around the playground!
In Pikopiko we also decided to practice our speaking. We learned to ask someone what their name is and answer. Here are the words - how about practising with your family?

Ko wai tō ingoa?
Ko Ms Lennon tōku ingoa.

We are all ready for Ferrymead tomorrow and look forward to seeing you all in the morning ready for a great day :) Don't forget a big lunch, your drink bottle and your car seat!
