More bees and Gymnastics tomorrow!

We did some more bee investigations this afternoon and found out a bit about their life cycle. We know now that they go from an egg, to a larva, to a pupa, then finally an adult bee. We watched this interesting video today to continue our research:

Then we continued with our wonderful scientific line drawings of bees. We made sure we had all the important parts of the bee, then used a marker to go over our lines. Looking good!

Tomorrow is our big trip to the Christchurch School of Gymnastics! We're all very excited. We suggested to the children today that they just wear a school shirt with comfortable shorts or trackpants. Thanks so much to the adults who have offered to come along - if you could arrive just before 10.30 that would be fantastic. We will leave the gym again at 12.30 to be back here by about 1pm. See you then!

Please note also that because of our gym trip we won't have PMP tomorrow afternoon :)

  2. A big thank you to Pikopiko for the amazing job you all did with painting the arrows for our Gala. I collected them today and am looking forward to using them with the signs that the other classes are making. The arrows will be very helpful in directing people to the many fun things we will have at the Gala.
