Perfect Pencil Portraits

For the first few weeks of this term we are starting with a little unit 'All About Me'. We're talking all about ourselves and our families. Today as part of this we had an art lesson where we learnt to draw a pencil portrait of ourselves. We worked step by step, studying our own features and where to put them on our picture.

We started by having a look at ourselves in the mirror!




Then we worked hard on our portraits, following the steps that Ms Lennon used on her portrait up on the board.











Everybody did an absolutely fantastic job and the portraits look wonderful. Here are a few examples of the finished product - come in to our space to see our beautiful gallery display!
