During our reading time in the Pikopiko team we have children working on a variety of literacy stations around the learning space. Today we noticed some children doing fabulous focused work at these stations! Well done to these people who made great choices and did some amazing independent learning today.
After lunch we went for a special walk to visit our brand new beehive and the bees up in the school garden. We talked about being super sensible and respectful of the bees' space. How exciting to see them buzzing around their home and visiting flowers!
Tomorrow we are also going to go for a walk to visit our community garden. We are looking forward to seeing the different things growing down there! Feel free to bring along a little watering can of your own if you have one :)
wow.... great to see all the different things happening in the class and how awesome is that beehive.
ReplyDeleteBusy people, the bee hive is exciting, fresh honey?

ReplyDeleteFive busy honey bees were resting in the sun.
The first one said, "Let us have some fun."
The second one said, "Where shall it be?"
The third one said, "In the honey tree."
The fourth one said, "Let's make some honey sweet."
The fifth one said, "With pollen on our feet."
The five little busy bees sang their buzzing tune,
As they worked in the beehive all that afternoon.
Bzzzzzz! Bzzzzzz! Bzzzzzz! Bzzzzzz! Bzzzzzz!
What a cool poem! We are going to print it for our classroom :)
