Volcano Inquiry

Today was the big day! All of Pikopiko and Kowhai came to school this morning with their absolutely amazing volcano projects. We had a great variety of models and posters about volcanoes from all over the world. In Pikopiko we shared our projects within the team this morning and the children did a fabulous job of sharing the facts they had learnt. Here are a few of the children with their projects, we will have some more photos on the walls in class :)

Then this afternoon we had our celebration! Thank you so much to all the friends and families that came along to watch and share in our learning. We started in the hall and sang our Hello Song, then our wonderful Volcano Song. Keep an eye on the blog as in the next few days I will upload a video of our performance.
All our families were then invited back to our rooms to see our projects. Well done to Kowhai as well for their awesome effort. A few of the volcanoes were designed to erupt so we brought them outside to watch the lava come out!

Thank you so much to everybody that came along. We had a great time :)

There is a notice in everyone's bag today confirming our new Quail Island date as next Tuesday March 24th. Please send back the new permission form asap so that we can confirm numbers.

This also means that ukulele lessons will be rescheduled - Chris is able to run the lessons on Monday morning instead so ukulele children please bring your instruments on Monday :)
