Letter practice and volcanoes!

The sun was out today so we headed outside to practise our handwriting. At the moment we are working on c, a and d and making sure we form the letters correctly. It was great using chalk on the concrete - great work everyone! Can you practise c, a and d at home?

This morning when everyone was arriving at school we heard some great stories of exciting volcanoes being made over the weekend. We are so glad you are already having fun with your inquiry project. This afternoon we looked at a diagram of a volcano and labelled the gas and ash, the lava, the magma and the crater.

Remember tomorrow is PMP day so we'd love to have a few helpers stay in the morning. Also don't forget to register for a time tomorrow or Wednesday for our goal setting interviews :)

  1. Amalia and her Dad went up the gondola after school today, and they found volcanic rocks. They are from the Lyttleton volcano. They went up the gondola especially to find them. Amalia wants to bring them to school tomorrow to share. Amalia likes volcano rocks and thinks they are amazing!!
