Oral Language and Tall Learner Thoughts

We are enjoying getting together for oral language time in the afternoons in Pikopiko. Today we warmed up by trying some tricky tongue twisters! The video is below if you would like to try them at home. Then we played one of our fun new games where we have to try and say as many things as we can from a certain place - like a supermarket or a school. It can be quite tricky! Well done to the people who took on the challenge of doing it in front of the team.

This afternoon the teachers sat down with each student and had a chat about what makes an HVS Tall Learner. We are going to use some of these comments in our display with our amazing silhouette artworks. Everyone had some really great thoughts like...

"I am a tall learner because I try and be kind to people"
"A tall learner can be a role model"
"It is working as a team, showing respect and being thoughtful"
"I am respectful to children and teachers. I try to do my best"

Great thinking Pikopiko! We'll look forward to having your ideas on the wall.

PMP tomorrow 2.15pm - we have really appreciated the help we've received so far this term and would love to have some adults again tomorrow :) Thank you!
